My Etsy Store

I have no idea where this picture was found. I do recall it was an advertisement for purchasing the giant rug. I found it very intriguing and decided that I wanted my own pattern.

I would have gone with a more elaborate pattern, but then there'd either be texture with crevices and bumps that would trip somebody, or there would be many open holes that a foot could fall into. Therefore, I've decided to do my first giant rug pattern with a basic pattern very similar to the one I saw in the picture. I hope you'll enjoy the pattern.

Don't necessarily go by the count at the end of each row because I haven't worked it up yet so I can't say. As soon as I do one, I'll come back and delete this sentence and correct the end count. I hop you enjoy the pattern.

Too Hot to....

It seems that no matter where you're from (in the United States) it's an awful hot summer. Down here in southeast Georgia, it's not only hot, but we also have high humidity. I have a window a/c unit in my bedroom. The past several days, I've been doing most of my living in my bedroom. Just stepping into the other parts of the house causes perspiration to immediately trickle down my forehead, down my arms and other areas that I won't even mention. While I do have some crocheting, tatting and knitting in my bedroom, I'm not getting a lot of that done. It's too hot to work much on my daughters floor-length hooded cap. I'm about to start stitching the hood together and then will just need to do the fun-fur edging all around and the make the drawstring with tassels and then off to Richmond, Virginia it goes.

Back Online

Hi Everybody, After several months of being offline due to a puppy that thought the cords coming out the back of my computer tower was for chewing, I'm finally back online; thanks to some wonderful friends who chipped in and found/repaired what I needed. So, I'll be back to designing and sharing either sharing free patterns or posting on Etsy. For those who've never seen my Etsy store, go to www.etsy.com and find me either under Beverly's Boutique or under the user ID Beverly5876. BTW, if there's anything you'd like to see me design in either knitting, crochet or tatting, let me know. I'll see what I can do to appease everybody and whoever suggested the pattern that I choose to design gets a free copy of the pattern. Please feel free to leave comments. I LOVE COMMENTS!!!

In training

I'm in training for the crochet editor position at www.bellaonline.com so please forgive me while I direct my attention that way for a little bit. The training I'm taking through bellaonline will also help me here on my blog. So, please be patient.
